About MoneyToolKit

A free financial education and calculator platform, built for students and young professionals who want clear, honest answers about their money.

Our mission

Make the financial tools and explanations that used to require a spreadsheet, a financial advisor, or a finance degree available to anyone, for free, in plain English. We think the biggest gap in most people's financial lives isn't access to information — it's access to information that's actually clear, honest, and free of a sales pitch.

Why we built this

Most free calculators online are either buried in ads, missing the context you actually need to make a decision, or quietly designed to funnel you toward a product. We wanted something different: calculators that are genuinely interactive, that explain their assumptions instead of hiding them, and that treat you like someone capable of understanding your own finances — because you are.

How we verify our calculations

Every calculator on MoneyToolKit is built from standard, published financial formulas — the same amortization math, compounding conventions, and withdrawal-rate guidelines used across the industry, not a black box. Each one is checked against known reference scenarios (for example, verifying that a 30-year loan amortizes to exactly $0 in its final month) before it ships. Where we simplify something for clarity — like assuming a constant rate of return — we say so directly in the calculator, usually right next to the number it affects.

That said: these are educational tools, not personalized financial advice. Every projection depends on assumptions about the future that no one can know for certain. For decisions that matter — buying a home, changing your investment strategy, filing your taxes — use MoneyToolKit to understand your options, and loop in a licensed professional before you act.

Who it's for

Students figuring out their first budget. Young professionals deciding between a Roth IRA and a 401(k) match. Anyone who's ever stared at a mortgage quote or an expense ratio and thought, “wait, what does that actually mean for me?” If that's you, this is built for you.

What we stand for

Actually free

No paywalls, no premium tier, no "sign up to see your results." Every calculator works the same for everyone.

No account required

Nothing to create, nothing to remember. Your inputs stay in your browser and are never sent to a server.

We don't sell your data

There's no data to sell in the first place — we don't collect what you type into a calculator. See our Privacy Policy for the full details.

Built to teach, not just calculate

Every calculator ships with plain-English explanations, so you understand the "why" behind the number, not just the number itself.

See it for yourself

The best way to understand MoneyToolKit is to run your own numbers.
